Project 10 Pan + Reviews

I first heard about Project 10 Pan from Laura, back when she was still making YouTube videos. If you've never heard of it, it's basically a challenge to finish (or hit pan on) 10 products before you buy anything new. It's great for those of us who can't seem to stop buying beauty products, even if we have way too many.

I decided to do this recently and have finally hit pan on or finished 10 products. I thought I would tell you if I liked them or if I would repurchase them, now that I've used them up!

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+: Repurchase? Yes. This is my favorite high end foundation. The color range is amazing and on oily skin it's a great foundation. It stays matte for quite a few hours and has medium to full coverage, easily. The only thing I didn't like was that mine oxidized in the bottle after a few months, but I can look past that.

L'Oreal True Match: Repurchase? Yes. This is not at all similar to the Mat Velvet+ but it's my favorite drugstore foundation. Again the color range is amazing and it has great coverage. I used it in my Flawless Foundation Routine so you can learn more there!

Sephora Single Shadow (not sure of color): Repurchase? No. This is the only Sephora shadow I've ever had and I didn't like it. The pigmentation wasn't great and it was a little chalky for my taste. I would rather spend a little more money and get Urban Decay.
Urban Decay NAKED Palette: Repurchase? No. I love this palette, don't get me wrong, but there are some shades I almost never use. I will however, be repurchasing Sin and Naked. As you can see, I love those shadows. Sin was the first to go and I think I might have cried when it completely cracked out.
Bobbi Brown Corrector: Repurchase? No. I was so excited to try this light peach corrector. It's supposed to go under your concealer to counteract the blueness of under eye bags. It just did not have enough coverage for me. It works wonders on other people but I just am not in love (and as you can see, I really really tried to love it).

Mark Champagne Shadow: Repurchase? Yes. If I could. This is discontinued which makes me so sad because it was a gorgeous pigmented light shadow. If you have any dupe recommendations, let me know!

NYX True Taupe Shadow: Repurchase? Yes. This is one of the best eyebrow colors I've ever found. It's light enough for my skin but dark enough to make a difference. I also love how cool toned it is, so my brows don't look oddly red. I also use it as a normal shadow sometimes and the pigmentation is great.
Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze: Repurchase? YES. This is holy grail bronzer status for me. I believe mine is the 2nd lightest shade. If you're fair to light, this is AH-MAZ-ING. It never looks fake and it lasts so long. Go buy it. Trust me.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: Repurchase? Yes. I've bought this probably 6 times now. It's great and inexpensive and so handy. I always buy translucent.

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder: Repurchase? Maybe. This is a definite dupe for the NARS Laguna/Orgasm palette. It's not the greatest pigmentation, but if you have the patience to blend a lot and you don't want to pay for NARS this is a good option. I might splurge next time.

What's In My Shower

So today I thought that I would show you guys some of my favorite shower products—and ones that I'm currently using and obsessing over! All of these have been long time favorites and most are repurchases. That says something for a girl who has a whole box of shower products in her closet.

L'oreal EverCreme Intense Nourishing Shampoo: This is amazing. I love all of the EverCreme lines but this nourishing one is great. It doesn't make my hair really tangled but it also isn't too rich. It really keeps my hair healthy. And the smell is amazing, definitely one of my favorites at the drugstore. The only thing I don't like is the bottle. It's so flimsy and sometimes its so dang hard to get product out!

L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner: Again, L'Oreal has hit the nail on the head here. This works as well as $30 salon conditioner in my opinion. It's definitely my favorite drugstore conditioner by far. It's extremely rich without being oily and it always leaves my hair silky soft. I never get buildup like with some thick conditioners. I can say that I never get split ends and I'm pretty sure it's due to this product.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Wash: I hated this when I first tried it, but now it's my go-to. It takes off eye makeup, it clears my skin and it doesn't make me too dry. I'm doing an acne-fighting video soon and I'll talk about this more there, so keep watch!

Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser: I use this once or twice a week, mostly in the shower. It's very gentle especially compared to some other exfoliators such as the Apricot Scrub. I love that because it keeps my skin baby soft without irritating the redness or acne. Great for sensitive and oily skin!
Dark Kiss Shower Gel (Bath and Body Works): I'm not too picky when it comes to body wash. All I can say is that this smells amazing and it lathers SO well. I think it's limited edition so if you're in need of a new body wash get to B&BW soon to smell this!

Fairy Friendships | Summertime Makeup

Sometimes you have to let your inner artist out. Allow your imagination to run wild and just create whatever comes to mind. Without a plan. I did these makeup looks the other day just for fun and I'm so happy with how they came out. Floral and fairy inspired, the soft colors are gorgeous in the summertime sunshine.

White Out

I've always love the idea of an all white look. It's so fresh and chic. And very Scandinavian, or at least I like to think so. I found these destroyed white denim shorts in my closet the other day and knew they were the perfect addition to this Nasty Gal tee.

Accessories are super important with an outfit like this, so I added a lacy bra (also white) and tons of silver jewelry. I'd say stick to one color or pop with an all white outfit. I've been really in the mood for a beachy, boho look recently this hit the mark.

St. Tropez Instant Tan Review + Country Concert!

I don't remember how I ended up with this product, but this summer I have been putting it to the test. St. Tropez is known for their amazing tan products (which I need to try!) but I was still pretty hesitant about this. Since I have such pale skin, most tans end up looking SUPER orange, like an oompa-loompa on me. Not pretty.

I started out using the St. Tropez Instant Tan on my chest and neck whenever my makeup looked too dark for my body, and it works great like that. A tiny bit mixed with some moisturizer makes an amazing "blender" color to soften too-dark foundation against the rest of your body. But that wasn't enough. I wanted to put it to a real test.
Last week I went to Country Concert '14 with my friend Stephanie. It's a huge 3 day concert in the middle of Ohio that gathers 40,000+ people to watch some of the industries biggest singers. I went on friday and we saw Chase Rice, Dustin Lynch, Montgomery Gentry and Brantley Gilbert. I was pretty excited. Seeing as how almost everyone wears denim shorts+bikinis I was feeling a little pale. I decided to give this a try on my legs for the first time. I was really surprised and pleased at how well it blended it. It gave me enough color to make a difference without looking fake. And it stayed. all. night. long. In between dancing, sweating, singing and more, it did not budge. Which is a miracle.
The next morning it washed off in the shower really easily. All in all, I'm obsessed with this stuff. I bet it would give anyone with fair to medium skin a great dose of color. It looks really dark in the tube but it's not crazy on your skin. It doesn't move with sweat so it's ideal for concerts, dances, fancy events or just a night out with the girls. If you haven't tried any St. Tropez products this is a great one to start with!

Glamorous Silver Makeup Tutorial + Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner Review

I was playing around with my makeup the other day and realized I have yet to use most of my Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter liners! I won the whole color range in a giveaway from Sona (MakeupBySona) last summer I believe and they're hardly touched. So I was inspired to put a little glamorous twist on this pretty simple silver smokey eye. I love it with and without the glitter, and you can also wear this look without the lashes, which I think would be just as pretty.

These are pretty great as far as glitter liners go. Most of the time I find products like this burn my eyes and make them water a ton, but these UD liners don't do that. They also dry pretty quickly, even when I placed them all over my eyelid. All in all I think this is a great option if you're looking for a fun product to add some sparkle to your look! Blake Lively Inspired Eye Makeup Tutorial

For a while now, Blake Lively has been a slight obsession of mine (haha!). Her makeup is always gorgeous, her style is perfect and her hair. Can we just talk about her hair?! It's amazing. AND she says that she eats cupcakes on a regular basis without working out and manages to stay so skinny. Can I just be her for a day?

Anyways, enough gushing. I found these pictures of her makeup (below) which is the epitome of her normal look, and I thought I'd recreate it. It's a pretty simple gold smokey eye with really neutral face and lips. She has hooded eye, like I do, and she sticks with this look as it works great on smaller eyes! I hope you enjoy and let me know if you recreate it!

Festive Face of the Day (4th of July)

Here are a few pictures of my 4th of July look today! I added a bit of blue on the bottom lashline for a fun addition to my usual natural eye. The shadows are actually from a Coastal Scents palette and a NYX Smokey Eye palette. I also added a few Urban Decay products to make the color really pop. I placed ULTRAVIOLET 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in my waterline and dabbed a bit of the SPANDEX Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner on the bottom lashline—very, very lightly.

I hope you enjoy your Independence Day. Spend today free of worries & celebrating all of the blessings in your life, including our amazing country!

Flawless Skin Foundation Routine | Full Coverage (Acne Scars, Hyperpigmentation, Redness)

Hi everyone! Today I'm bringing you another video (I have been LOVING filming lately.) Today I'm showing you my flawless-skin foundation routine. I've dealt with a combination of acne, fair skin and very oily skin for many years so I consider myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to face products. This look is great for anyone with a lot of acne (scars or active), hyper pigmentation, redness or other general uneven skin tone.

I used a combination of drugstore and high end products. This is a routine I do pretty much daily as I love to have a full coverage look, but if you don't, it would be great for any big occasion, night out or fancy event when you need to look great in person and in pictures.

HOW TO: Style a White Tee (4 Ways!)

Here is another video for you! This one is all about how to style a classic: the white tee. I have so many of these, it's a definitely one of my favorite pieces. And it can by styled in so many different ways.

ONE // laidback: This is for your cozy day when you still want to look pulled together. Comfy pieces like boyfriend jeans and the every popular birkenstocks make you feel like you're wearing PJs. I also threw on a hat. I only had a KSU ballcap, but a leather one or a patterned snapback would be really cool too. And it adds an interesting touch.

TWO // boho: If you live by the beach, love frolicking through fields or are constantly shopping on Free People, this one is for you. Throw a slouchy tee over your favorite maxi (I wore a dress, but a skirt would work too!) and tie it up in the front. With the addition of a bunch of layered necklaces and some leather sandals you're ready for a day of twirling and eating kale. (Jokes. I do love this outfit for when you're feeling a bit more bohemian! :) )

THREE // classic: This is my go-to outfit for when I'm running out the door. I wear a variation of this almost everyday. Original, I know. But DIY cutoffs and a tee with a fun detail (like the mesh strip on this H&M beauty) are a great summer outfit. Add some gladiators for an interesting touch and huge sunnies to feel more glam.

FOUR // girly glam: This look is a culmination of all of my favorite pieces lately. Originally I planned the outfit with a black bodycon skirt instead of the cutoffs but left that at home (argg!) when I went to film. Cutoffs work pretty well too. The combination of a really flowy top from the tee+kimono and the tighter/shorter bottoms makes your legs look miles long. I added a really sparkly necklace and bright fun shoes to make the look dressier. It would be perfect for a night out our dinner with your boo.

I hope you liked this! Let me know what was your favorite outfit. And let me know if you have any requests for future HOW TO: style videos in the future!
