The Bigger the Hair, The Closer to Heaven

Hi lovely readers.
It's been a crazy week. Finals is almost here and everyone on campus is scrambling to get last minute projects and studying done (including me). I know I missed Tumblr Crush Thursday this week (so sad!) but that means it's going to be even better next week!

Lately I've been obsessed with all things hair related. From my new Kenra Hot Spray to my favorite teasing brush, bigger has been better. I guess my inner Texan is coming out!
I've been watching Megan (Ciaoobelllaxo on YouTube) and her hair is amazing! Sometimes I just want a little more drama than the curls I wear everyday.
Here is some Inspo I've been gathering.
I just think slightly-messy, voluminous hair is so effortlessly feminine and sexy!
Maybe I'll do a tutorial on how I get my hair big like this soon, if you would be interested in that?
How do you make your hair big and gorgeous like this...Or do you?

Art of Contrast

Hi babes. So. The weekend before Thanksgiving I had a fun event to go to here at school (and those do not come often). If you follow me on Instagram (@CassieDulworth) then you saw the picture I snapped when I was playing dress up in Kate's closet, trying to find something to wear.
We had the Art of Contrast Fashion Show, the biggest show our Fashion Student Organization puts on every year. The theme was "around the world" and everyone picked different countries to be inspired by!
Kate designed a dress, Taylor modeled it and I was a judge! It was so entertaining to see how we all got involved in different ways.
I love love loved the show! Some of the designers at my school are so incredibly talented, it blows my mind. These are so people to be looking for in the next few years!
Thanks to Kendall, the FSO president, for asking me to judge and everyone else who made the show a smash!
The winning collection was inspired by Greek Goddesses. The photos don't even come close to capturing the amazing detail and beauty of these three dresses.
This dress was handmade in Paris, by Kendall, the FSO president. It's incredibly detailed when you see it closely.
A british collection! Love.
Some fabulously dressed show-goers!
This is Kate's dress. It was inspired by Brazil and the big bunch on the front is a "turban." Gorg right?!
All in all the show was a blast! I love any excuse to dress up and wear heels, plus it's always so rewarding to support my school and the fabulous fashion program we have.
What do you think of the pieces? And what did YOU do last weekend?

Get A Fix: StitchFix

{Image from here}
Hello loves! Happy Wednesday. Today I have something really exciting to share. It's a company called StitchFix! Basically this is a boutique-type company where you sign up and become a "member." You fill out a style profile (they asked every question imaginable and left room for you to add anything!) and they send you a "fix."

A Fix is a box full of 5-6 items that they think you will like/need according to your style profile and your comments. It costs $20 to schedule a fix and that money goes towards whatever you decide to keep from your box.
For instance, if you liked one dress and one shirt, totaling $80, then you would only have to pay $60 because of your "down payment" of $20 for the fix.
I got my first fix after seeing a fellow blogger, Lyndsey, mention StitchFix a few weeks ago.
Let me tell you what I love and don't really love about them.
1). You can schedule a fix for ANYTIME! That's right. No annoying "Skip this month" hassle. Whenever you want it will be there.
2). The items are really high quality! They are a little expensive, think $40-$200 depending on your preference. But you're not going to get something of Forever21 quality. (I love F21, but you feel my drift).
3). If you want all the items in your box you get TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OFF. That is an amazing discount. Maj score?!
4). They send outfit ideas. For some of the more unique pieces, sometimes it's hard to see how it could fit into our wardrobe. Each piece comes with a card that has description and pictures of how you could style it.

In my box I got a dress, two shirts, a sweater and a necklace. I'm still deciding between the sweater and the dress. Maybe even the shirt. It's such a tough decision!
What do you think I should stick with?

All in all, StitchFix is an amazing little idea. If you're willing to spend a little bit of money on some new pieces, even just one for the season, this is a great place to start. There is no pressure, no hassle and they really pay attention to delivering what you want. You can sign up here! Make sure to tell them that I sent you. And let me know when you're getting a fix! I'd love to see pictures.

Tumblr Crush Thursday: Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving loves! I hope that everyone is taking today and spending time with friends and family while reveling in how lucky you are. If you even have a computer or phone on which you read this, you probably have a pretty blessed life.

Some things on Tumblr this week reminded me of why I am a truly lucky girl.
In the week of November 19th I'm crushing on:
Image 1: I'm thankful that I have a closet full of clothes that keep me happy and warm, even in harsh Ohio winters.
Images 2&3: I'm thankful that I have money to spend on my passion. That I can afford expensive makeup because it makes me happy. And that I have had true love--I know what it feels like to have someone who is there for you, to always make you smile, and put you first. Even if it wasn't a forever love.
Image 4: I'm thankful that I've been blessed enough to travel the world at such a young age, and more is to come. Not many people can say they spend years in Europe as a child.
Images 5&6: I'm thankful for the friends that accept me in all my goofiness, and are just as weird. It makes life fun...
...and the friends that have been, and will always, be there. No matter what. (1:2).
Image 7: I'm thankful that I can study fashion. And make a career out of what I love. And that I already have an amazing job that thousands of people would kill for. And the chance to work with a lot of other amazing companies as well, like CollegeFashionista (thank you, Amy!) and RenttheRunway.

Follow me on Tumblr for more amazing inspo! And follow on BLOGLOVIN' because it's an amazing way to keep track of all your favorite blogs!

No matter what you do or don't have, today is the day to appreciate all of the little things. I have an amazing family, group of friends and more. There is always something in life to be thankful for, we just have to take a minute and realize that.
I hope you have a wonderful day & break amazing readers! I am so thankful for you, too.
And from a Black Friday employee...try not to go too crazy tomorrow!

Insta Life: @CassieDulworth

I don't even know how to start this post. I feel like my life is going at 200mph right now.
I have no time to sleep.
I have no time to eat.
I have no time to think more than 2 hours ahead.
And I love it. I am so thankful for everything I get to do already, from being a student, working for an amazing company (Tommy Hilfiger), TWO fashion internships and more. I'm one lucky gal.
Aaannyyyways. I guess that is my really long intro leading into me saying I'm sorry I haven't been posting as much recently! But. I Instagram. A lot. And because I can't blog as often as I would like, follow me here for more outfit posts/daily tid-bits!

Here are some shots from my crazy, amazing life this past month.

Tumblr Crush Thursday

Hi loves! Sorry this is a little late today. I just don't know where this week has gone. Everything is flying by. I can't believe it's almost the 2nd half of November!
Yesterday I woke up and had class, immediately went to work (at Tommy Hilfiger, if you didn't know) and went to the gym as soon as I got back, before it closed. By the time I got home it was midnight and I just couldn't believe it!
I love being busy though. Amazing things are happening with my blog, some opportunities I have coming up, an event tomorrow that I'm super excited about (look for that post this weekend) and my roommate is now a Rent the Runway Rep with me! (Congrats, Kate!)

Anywayssss. Quit rambling, Cassie.
Here are some of my loves from Tumblr this week.
The week of November 12th I'm crushing on:
Image 1: Isn't this dress TO DIE FOR?! Does anybody know where I can get a similar one? Maybe NastyGal?!
Image 2: This looks delicious. Carbs are my vice. And frothy drinks. But, maybe I can find a yummy, healthy recipe for something similar when I'm home for Thanksgiving. Or do you have any suggestions?
Images 3&4: Scarlett Johanson is one of my favorite actresses. I always love the movies she chooses to be in. And she is so gorgeous! I always think of her character in "He's Just Not That Into You" because she isn't stick skinny. She has curves and they are gorgeous. Also, that smile. Also, this is what I've been eating lately. The Skinny Confidential has kicked my butt into realizing how badly I eat and I'm working on changing that! College dorm life makes it harder (but no excuses.) Do you have any yummy healthy foods that you eat, that are simple or easy to make?!

Well. Hopefully you guys can help me with some of the questions I have. Apparently I'm full of them today.

Make sure to follow me on Tumblr for more gorgeous inspo. and on Bloglovin' to keep up with my blog!

Switch It Up

One of my favorite parts about blogging is being exposed to different styles. It's amazing how women from all over the world have such distinct interpretations of fashion.
Sarah, the blogger behind Classy Girls Wear Pears has the quintessential New England preppy style down to a "T." I love reading through her blog and bookmarking my favorite outfits, then using them as a loose guideline on days when I don't know what to wear. She had an amazing collection of Milly dresses and more button-ups than I can imagine.

I decided to do a style switch post taking some of my favorite outfits of hers and showing you how versatile they can be with a few changes!
With interesting basics like this sweater or these bermuda shorts, switching what you wear on one half can completely change your look. From preppy to edgy or bohemian.

In this switch, changing the outer layer is everything! Good outerwear can make such an impact. Layering on a floral sweater is a fun mix of patterns, or add some faux fur for a luxurious look.

Lastly, changing what you wear underneath vertain pieces can change your whole outfit. A lacy bodycon dress that shows above AND below a skirt is a fun play on proportions. Or add leather pants and boots to an oxford for a sexy "I-just-woke-up-and-look-this-good" vibe.

No matter your style, take a not from prepsters like Sarah. HEr collection and endless combo of classic pieces shows how valuable they are! Changing little details and adding new accessories can shift the entire feeling of a look. Play around with it!

Who are your favorite bloggers to draw inspo from?

More Meals, Please: The Office Bistro

Hi loves! Happy Veterans Day! I hope you all find the time to tell a veteran today how much you appreciate their service to our country. I sure will.

This morning my two roommates and I went out for brunch. We have girls dinners every other Sunday but sometimes we like to mix it up. We ended up in Akron, at The Office Bistro & Lounge.
This little restaurant is tucked away in a "not-so-good" part of town but trust me, it's well worth the drive.
This is our second time at The Office and let's just say it does not disappoint. We all left with a delightful food coma.

They serve extremely delicious food at cheap prices and they are known for brunch.
Last time we went Kate for the Lobster Scramble and I the Veggie Frittata.
{Photos from @Kate2Elizabeth and @CassieDulworth instagram}
This time, the menu had been changed a little (so many new delicious choices!) and Kate and Taylor both tried something new.
Lobster Quiche+House Potatoes+Rye Toast
A Western Skillet Omelet+Rye Toast
My delicious Veggie Frittata+House Potatoes+Rye Toast
(Sorry for the bad quality photos, they were all taken on iPhones).

All in all, if you live in the area you NEED to get to The Office. Dishes full of veggies, seafood and meat for under $15 is a bargain. Even the toast is amazing. Call or make you reservation here.
