4th of July

This year I had probably the best 4th of July yet. I'm not one to go too crazy for a celebration, but the weather here in LA + being right next to a beach took the weekend to a whole different level. Most of these are quicky iPhone/Instagram snaps so I hope you guys don't mind.

One of my best friends from home, Morgan, drove down from SF for the weekend. With her convertible + amazing weather all weekend, we wasted no time exploring. We spent Friday driving up the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu to explore. Saturday we decided to skip the crowded beaches and went to Crystal Cove, which was almost empty (highly recommend this area by the way!) Then we stumbled across a private fireworks show in Corona del Mar, which was the most beautiful way to end the weekend.

I also vlogged + filmed a bunch, which you can check here on my YouTube channel!
This sunset was honestly unreal. Pictures don't do it justice at all.
as seen on Insta: my festive ootd // spending time at the beach in Malibu // watching all of the sunsets // capturing pictures at my newest obsession restaurant: lemonade

Roadtrip to LA

Surprise! I moved to LA!

Okay okay, I've been gone for a while. This past semester got away from me a little bit. Between 2 internships with CollegeFashionista and Ready Gypset Go, being PR head for the fashion organization at Kent and co-coordinating the Model Committee for the Annual Fashion show (on top of 21 credit hours...eek!!) I was a bit busy.

Right after graduation I started hustling hard to find a job. I knew exactly what I wanted to be doing and I was determined to get it. Luckily for me, a position opened at Lili Claspe. After emailing them my resume and an impromptu trip to LA to interview, I officially landed the job!

I've been working at #LiliHQ for a week now and I can't begin to explain how much I love it. I mean I get to work on social media all day, for an amazing company (have you seen their body chains?!) with the best people.

So mom and I packed up all of my stuff and took a roadtrip out west. It was so much fun. I never thought I would think Kansas was beautiful but man, the rolling hills and ranch land was something else. There is something so invigorating about moving through each state, seeing the landscape change and just realizing how much world is out there for me to see. I'm excited to be on this new journey and my wanderlust heart can't wait to explore more.
Also, if you know anything about me, you know that I'm obsessed with YouTube. I decided to dive into the world of vlogging and took some fun video of my roadtrip and time in LA. Check it out to see the beginning of this adventure:

GRWM: Katy Perry Crossroads CMT Makeup Look

One of my friends, Lyndsey, requested some tips on how to recreate Katy Perry's look from her Crossroads CMT 2014 performance! It's such a simple look and I love it. Katy's eyes are a lot bigger than mine, so keep that in mind if it looks slightly different on me or you, but it's a gorgeous look and I hope you enjoy it. Check out the video here or below!
ALSO, here are some bonus pictures of me with short hair. Because that makes me look like Katy Perry, right?

Glamorous Silver Makeup Tutorial + Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner Review

I was playing around with my makeup the other day and realized I have yet to use most of my Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter liners! I won the whole color range in a giveaway from Sona (MakeupBySona) last summer I believe and they're hardly touched. So I was inspired to put a little glamorous twist on this pretty simple silver smokey eye. I love it with and without the glitter, and you can also wear this look without the lashes, which I think would be just as pretty.

These are pretty great as far as glitter liners go. Most of the time I find products like this burn my eyes and make them water a ton, but these UD liners don't do that. They also dry pretty quickly, even when I placed them all over my eyelid. All in all I think this is a great option if you're looking for a fun product to add some sparkle to your look! Check out all of the colors here.

Blake Lively Inspired Eye Makeup Tutorial

For a while now, Blake Lively has been a slight obsession of mine (haha!). Her makeup is always gorgeous, her style is perfect and her hair. Can we just talk about her hair?! It's amazing. AND she says that she eats cupcakes on a regular basis without working out and manages to stay so skinny. Can I just be her for a day?

Anyways, enough gushing. I found these pictures of her makeup (below) which is the epitome of her normal look, and I thought I'd recreate it. It's a pretty simple gold smokey eye with really neutral face and lips. She has hooded eye, like I do, and she sticks with this look as it works great on smaller eyes! I hope you enjoy and let me know if you recreate it!

Flawless Skin Foundation Routine | Full Coverage (Acne Scars, Hyperpigmentation, Redness)

Hi everyone! Today I'm bringing you another video (I have been LOVING filming lately.) Today I'm showing you my flawless-skin foundation routine. I've dealt with a combination of acne, fair skin and very oily skin for many years so I consider myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to face products. This look is great for anyone with a lot of acne (scars or active), hyper pigmentation, redness or other general uneven skin tone.

I used a combination of drugstore and high end products. This is a routine I do pretty much daily as I love to have a full coverage look, but if you don't, it would be great for any big occasion, night out or fancy event when you need to look great in person and in pictures.
