Sometimes it amazes me how accessories can really direct the feel of your outfit! Today I decided to show you the same outfit styled two different ways. 

First, a bit more rocker boho with the boots and earrings. Then a bit more dressy and chic with heeled boots and sparkly jewelry. 

This is a great way of taking an outfit from day to night, or switching up the way you wear some of your favorite pieces!

The Scoop: My Makeup

 Hi loves! 

Today I wanted to tell you about the makeup I love and use everyday.

I did a post on my skincare a little while back and it seemed to be fairly popular! I personally love reading what products other people love so I hope you do too.

Some of these things are new and some are old favorites but all of them have been in my makeup bag for at least a month.

I do use other things here and there but I wanted to show you what I couldn't live without!

Make Up For Ever Mat Bronzer: This is one of my favorites, and it perfect for anyone with a very light to medium skin tone. It has no red undertones, which is always the problem I found with bronzers. Definitely worth the investment, mine lasted at least 6 months.

Loreal True Match Blush: In the shade Rose, this is perfect for winter, giving me a glow without looking fake. 

MAC Fix+: This was a recent present from my best friend Jenny, and I'm already loving it. I spray it on top of my makeup to give that last little bit of "dewy glow" before I run out the door.

 Naked Palette: I got this for Christmas last year and haven't stopped using it. I bring it with me every time I travel and use it almost everyday. You can create everything from a natural look to a NYE smokey eye. I haven't tried the Naked2 but this one is great.

NYX Lipstick: Circe is my favorite nude. It's a gorgeous brown nude that is a little darker than Mac's Creme De' Nude. A $4 a pop, what's not to love?!

Maybelline Colossal Mascara & Lancome Artliner: My go to mascara+liner combo. This liner IS worth the money, as it draws amazingly and won't smudge. The mascara rivals some of my Sephora loves because of the collagen formula that builds amazing dramatic lashes.

Garnier Dark Circle Corrector: An under eye concealer that has caffeine in it, I use this when my eyes get puffy (oh yeah, that's everyday). 

Almay Clear Complexion & Chanel Perfection Lumiere: I mix these two foundations depending on how tan I am, but that are both amazing. Medium to very full coverage and a matte finish that doesn't look powdery or dry. I can't go without at least one of these everyday.

NYX HD Concealer: (At the left edge of photo) This is one of my favorite concealers. I use the light shade as well as the yellow shade under my foundation. It covers all of my acne scar redness and created a perfect base for my foundation.

Tumblr Crush Thursday

 Hey hey.

Getting back into the routine of things today after Christmas. We had a "blizzard" yesterday so everything outside is covered in a foot of white, and I decided today would be a good day to catch up on all things blog and YouTube. 

First things first:

Here are the things I'm crushing on in the week of December 24th: 

 Image 1: Vintage slips and knitted socks are my weakness I think. I don't ever leave a store without one or the other, or at least admiring one or the other. 

Image 2&3: Lots of good fashion on tumblr this week. Love these two looks, and the attitude these women have.

Image 4: The designer from one of my favorite new discoveries, Stone_Cold_Fox. These pants are her design I believe, and everything she does is amazing.

Image 5&6: Sometimes side cleavage is so much sexier, and who doesn't want a sparkly pair of animal ears? Does anybody know where I can find some? 

Image 7: I just like everything about this image. Sometimes that happens.

I hope all of you lovely readers had an AMAZING holiday, no matter what you were celebrating or who it was with. I know my blog is little compared to so many famous bloggers out there but I'm so thankful for those of you who do stop by and read! This wouldn't be fun without you.

Day In The Life

Here are a few tidbits from my life in the past few weeks. I hope you're having an amazing holiday season so far.

1. It's finally gotten cold and this ASOS sweater is so cozy without sacrificing any style. 

2. Some days a vintage flannel and standout accessories is perfect.

3. Giant PVC sparkly bows caught my eye while Christmas decor shopping with Momma.

4. I've been testing the Eyeko mascara and liner for a few days now. Post on this will come soon with a GIVEAWAY!

5. My friend Lyndsey, a fellow blogger, and I did this pretty champagne and navy glitter ombre the other day. We're both Bloom Beauty Ambassadors and the polish was one that Lyndsey got to test!

6. I've been a little naughty at Ulta lately. 

7. Granola and greek yogurt is one of my favee healthy lunch options.

8. Working on a mock Victoria's Secret trade show booth for my Merchandising Presentations class.

9. An exciting package from Reebonz that I got a few weeks ago.

10. Pretty holiday decorations downtown.

11. Glam Gram jewels of the day on my way to work.

12. The most amazing group of girls, my best friends. Morgan, Steph, Kristin, Alli and Denver the kitty, of course.

Hi loves! Hope you week went well, and now you have the whole weekend to look forward to! I just got home for Christmas break so I'm looking forward to spending some time catching up with my long-distance friends and family. What are you looking forward to this weekend?!

Tumblr Crush Thursday

Hi beautiful readers. Today I have a few inspiring pictures for you from my Tumblr! I hope you love the glamorous feel from this week like I do! 

In the week of December 10th I was crushing on:

 I've been having a real craving for designer shoes lately. More than normal. How could any girl NOT after watching this video?! YSL's and Loubies...come home to me. 

 If you don't recognize this quote, you need to watch Pride and Prejudice. The Kiera Knightly version. I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and I was immediately smitten. Reading the book is on my Christmas-Break-To-Do list. 

 How gorgeous is this dress! I'm craving fancy party outfits. And of course, champs. My favorite drink of all time. Especially with strawberries. Even the cheap stuff makes you feel fancy, ya know?

All red outfits and bed head hair. Some of my favorite things. Wishing I could wake up looking half as gorgeous as either of these girls. 

What are you loving this week? Do you have any more suggestions of books I need to read over break?  I'm a book worm at heart.

The Scoop: My Shower and Skincare

Hi lovely readers! Long time, no talk. It's exam week here at KSU and I've gotten 3 our of 5 done. I figure I should be studying for accounting that deserves some procrastination/blogging time, don't you?! 

I've been thinking that it would be interesting to show you products that I use on a day-to-day basis.

I love reading posts like these and was actually inspired by a skincare post from Jennifer Stano's blog! She is a model/designer living in Cali and she is just gorgeous. Her skin is amazing too!

I hope you find these types of posts as entertaining and helpful as I do. In the next week watch for makeup and hair sections as well!

*Note: I have acne-prone and oily skin, and my skincare routine is adjusted as such. If you have dry skin, these products may not be for you.*

First is what I use in the shower and on a daily basis! My shampoo and conditioner change almost monthly, but these two are favorites right now. 

Shampoo: The Loreal Evercreme Intense Nourishing shampoo I got in a recent Target sample bag and loved so much I had to go buy it full sized. It has an amazing lather, smell and doesn't give my hair that "too-clean" feeling. 

Conditioner: This Clear Scalp Therapy conditioner has been a favorite for a few months and IS a repurchase. I love it because you can put all the way to your roots and it doesn't weigh your hair down! It also smells amazing.

Razor: I always use the Gilette Venus Embrace razor. I don't use shaving cream (or anything!) and this has amazing moisture strips. I haven't cut myself in months, promise. 

Not Pictured: I also use a coconut body scrub with a loofa along with a Dove Sensitive bar soap to wash my face. Simple and easy!

Acne Treatments: On my face I use the Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion every single night. This helps keep my acne calm, reduces the swelling of all cystic bumps and dries everything up. Fast. I shake it up, squeeze a little "pool" of it into one palm, and use my fingers to spread it into my skin.

Moisturizer: When I'm feeling a little dry I use the Control Moisturizer for Oily Skin, also from Mario Badescu. This is great without leaving me greasy or oily throughout the day/night.

Next, some products that I use weekly, but not every single day.

Face Wash: About once or twice a week I use the Mario Badescu Enzyme Gel Cleanser. This is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid face wash, which means that is has AHA chemicals in it to help break down the dead skin cells and clear them from the surface. It's an exfoliator without being too harsh (great for acne-prone or sensitive skin).

Face Masks: I alternate between these two favorites. The Mario Basedcu Drying Cream is a face mask OR leave on treatment. It really dries up any stubborn bumps you may have. 

A tip my friend Lyndsey gave me: put on the Buffering Lotion then a layer of this Drying Mask. Let it sit for 20 mins. then wash it off. Reapply the Buffering Lotion and go to bed. When you wake up everything will look better/less-swollen/gone! I also use the Ahava Purifying Mud Mask which is gentler, but they clay draws out any impurities!

Moisterizers: Sometimes, like in the winter, I buff up my moisturizing routine. I use this Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil all over my face, but particularly around my nose where I seem to get driest. This product is a bit expensive, so look for the travel size in Ulta or Sephora if you're unsure about it. At night I use Vasaline on my lips and I always wake up with silky smooth lips, ready for any makeup!

These last products are ones I use for my body.

Lotion: I hate lotion. Anybody who knows me will tell you that. I don't know why but the thought of putting clothes on overtop of slippery, just-lotioned skin grosses me out. A lot. And then came the Victorias Secret Love Spell Body Butter. This body butter, let me tell you. I've raved about it in videos and it remains my favorite. It sinks in and dries EXTREMELY quickly, isn't greasy like a normal lotion and smells HEAVENLY. It's my favorite VS scent. Put on right out of the shower, in the steamy bathroom.

Special Occasion Lotion: This Prtty Peaushun Lotion is my weapon of choice. It's a celeb favorite for red-carpet nights and I can see why. It's a bit expensive, but smells amazing and has a glow that is unreal. Mine is in the light color. They have darker shades as well if you want to add some tan, or a "colorless" formula to slap on anytime. I use then when I go dancing to make my legs look killer. It works.

Deodorant: This is nothing special but I use the Ban Antiperspirant. It smells good and does what any antiperspirant should. (However I've been hearing amazing things about Donna Karan Cashmere...have any of you tried it?!)

Self Tanner: The True Blue Spray Tan (on sale!) by Bath and Body Works is my favorite at the moment. It has a 100 degree angle sprayer and goes on so smooth and easy. I put it on when I'm still slightly damp from the shower as I think it soaks in more evenly. I always wake up with amazing color that is not one bit orange (pale girls, you feel my pain with this one). A must for anyone.

I hope you enjoyed this long and slightly ramble-y look inside my daily products! Seeing it all laid out here, I can fully admit that I am a product whore. I have no shame. I just love trying new things!
