Neon Nails

Painting my nails is not something that I do really often. I wish I was the type of girl who could repaint them every other day or whenever a chip happens, but I just do not have the patience. Last night I finally got around to fixing my nails though & I ended up going with this neon pink. Which is another surprise, because anyone who knows me knows that I normally go with more neutral shades, like in my summertime nails post.

I haven't used this polish in forever because the first time, I hated it. I'm not sure why now, as I quite liked it this time. It went on really easily (albeit a bit splotchy on the first coat...you definitely need two). I think my favorite thing though is how fast it dries. I mean, it was rock hard within two minutes of finishing. Now that's my type of polish.

Face Favorites: Milani Baked Blush

Earlier this week I posted this picture (above) on my instagram to show off my fishtail (yes I was very proud of it haha.) After looking at the pictures though, I noticed how well my blush was showing up and decided it was about time I told you guys about my favorite cheek color right now.

If you watch YouTube videos or read beauty blogs, this product is probably no stranger to you: the Milani Baked Blushes.  It's not really new to me either, but I figured I should give you one more reason to go get it! I have two colors: Dolce Pink , which is what I'm wearing, and Berry Amore. Both are gorgeous and illuminating in all the right ways. Dolce Pink is lighter and more natural, at least on my fair skin. It's perfect for a "no-makeup" look where you want a subtle wash of girly color. Berry Amore is a coral and slightly darker, with plum undertones. It's equally gorgeous and would probably look really natural on medium-dark skin tones.

Either way, this Milani Baked Blush a great product. It's extremely pigmented and gives a highlight without being sparkly or glittery. And it's under $8! Go pick one up from CVS and let me know what you think!

My Favorite Baubles

I wanted to share some of my favorite jewelry right now. I have a LOT of jewelry. You will know that if you saw my last instagram picture which showed some of my necklaces. It's a guilty pleasure. I'm really digging a few things right now: silver, snakes and turquoise. How boho of me, right? (Sarcasm haha). Anyways, what are you loving right now? And do you have any favorite jewelry shops? Please tell!

Style Crush

Just some lazy Sunday inspiration. As you can see I'm slightly obsessed with stripes, hats & white. All basics. Super cozy. I found all images on Pinterest & Tumblr (if you happen to know the original source, please let me know!)

Smokey Cat Eye

I wanted to share my face of the day today. Some products are new and I'm loving like this Milani blush. Some are old favorites, aka everything from MUFE. Seriously, that company can do no wrong in my eyes. Anyways this looks was lightly inspired by Claire Marshall's latest video on YouTube. If you don't know who I'm talking about, check her out. She's an amazing makeup artist from LA. She showed a smokey cat eye look, which you can see a little bit in the last picture. What are some of your favorite products right now?

Long Park Days

Hat: Free People | Tank: UO | Necklace: Similar at Free People | Shorts: Free People | Shoes: American Eagle | Cuff: Free People | Flower Crown: made by me, similar here

The other day I styled Jenny for a shoot for Ulala. I'm a contributor to the site and love the way the photos came out! The piece isn't up yet (I will link it here when it does go up) but I took a few extra outfit shots for the blog. I've also been playing around with some photoshop editing. It's fun to give your pictures a different look sometimes!

UPDATE: Here is the link to my U lala article featuring some of these pictures & more.

Strappy Summer

Tank: NastyGal (in lime, similar) | Shoes: IF Carrini (this brand is always on HauteLook) | Bag: Vintage (similar) | Necklace: Forever21 (similar)

NastyGal is the stuff dreams are made of. First, it's always stock full of the coolest pieces you can imagine: vintage, assorted designers and NastyGal brand lines (aka this amazing shoe line!) Then, there's Sophia Amoruso and #GIRLBOSS. Basically, if you've never shopped at NastyGal you're missing out.

You might have seen my love for one of my recent purchases on Instagram the other day. Let's just say I'm similarly in love with this tank. I like to keep things simple. With little details. Cut offs and a tee are my daily uniform. So when a tank has a cool back like this one I can justify buying it. Because it's the little details that count, right?

PS—Excuse the little "bow" burn line on my back. I was overly ecstatic about it being sunny and that happened haha.

* I linked up with Mix & Match Fashion today.

Freelance Bridal Makeup

Here are some pictures of my GORGEOUS best friend. I did her makeup as a mock-up for some brides I'm working with this summer. I just can't get over how amazing she looks (although I may be a bit biased). These photos have no photoshop or editing on them.

For those of you who don't know, I do freelance makeup work. I love to do anything from bridal to runway and even personal consults. It's so satisfying to me when I can help someone be the most gorgeous version of themselves!
